For 15 years, it has been a favourite choice for those seeking a designer hotel in Madrid, which is why this iconic establishment has decided to mark its anniversary with a complete refurbishment of its 44 rooms and suites.
The refurbishment has been entrusted to interior designer María Santos, a leading figure in Spanish interior design, who is making her debut in the hotel sector with this project. The refurbishment has combined classic elegance with contemporary touches that elevate the guest experience to a whole new level.
The renovation: embodying elegance and timelessness
The aim of the refurbishment has been clear: to preserve the sophistication that has always characterised the hotel, whilst adding a touch of modernity and freshness that has made it one of the most welcoming establishments in the city centre.
Wood has been the central feature of this project, a material that has brought an unrivalled warmth to the spaces. Furthermore, fine timbers such as oak have been carefully selected; when contrasted with the brass detailing, they strike a perfect balance between the classic and the modern.
At the same time, the palette of dark tones that previously dominated the hotel’s spaces has been replaced by lighter, more natural colours, such as beige and cream, which, combined with the wood tones, create a warm atmosphere. This choice of colours not only instils a sense of calm and serenity, but also enhances the natural light that floods the rooms.

Every corner of the Hotel Único has been designed to provide guests with a luxurious experience. The furniture has been bespoke-designed for each room, with highlights including the moulded wooden headboards and desks, which offer both comfort and style.
