Sóller: natural beauty, authentic tradition

In the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana, in what some call the “Golden Valley”, lies Sóller. In the north-west of Mallorca, Sóller began to develop during the 19th century, when the area was completely cut off from the rest of the island by the mountains, but had a port from which oranges were exported. That port, which gives the town its name, now supports 44 km² of land thanks to the abundant citrus cultivation in the valley.
