The Magritte Machine at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum

This magnificent temporary exhibition of the surrealist painter René Magritte is available at the Thyssen Museum in Madrid. Its title refers to the repetitive and combinatory component of the obsessive themes that characterize Magritte.

Thyssen Museum opening hours: Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm, Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Monday closed.

Murillo’s Prodigal Son at the Prado Museum

If you are looking for an exhibition out of the ordinary, you can’t miss The Garden of Earthly Delights at the Matadero in Madrid. A surprising journey through the works of the SOLO Collection based on artificial intelligence, sound art, 3D animation and much more. The work proposes to reflect on the universal values conveyed by the original painting, located in the Prado Museum.

Exhibition hours at Matadero Madrid: Tuesday to Thursday from 17h to 21h, Friday to Sunday from 12h to 21h and Monday closed.

LEGO Madrid Exhibition

Moving away from the world of painting, the largest LEGO exhibition in Europe will not leave anyone indifferent. Located in the Plaza Rio 2 shopping center in Madrid, it has more than 100 models and 7 million LEGO pieces, including the Titanic at a scale of 1:25 with half a million pieces.

LEGO Madrid Exhibition opening hours: Monday to Friday from 11h to 21h and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10h to 21h.

The main museums in Madrid offer free admission at certain times, but usually only include access to the permanent exhibitions. Below we detail the schedules so you can enter for free to the most important museums of the Spanish capital.

Prado Museum: Monday to Saturday from 6pm to 8pm and Sundays and holidays from 5pm to 7pm.

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum: Monday from 12h to 16h.

Museo Reina Sofía: Monday and Wednesday to Saturday from 18h to 20h and Sundays 13:30h – 14:15h

Sorolla Museum: Every day until December 31st.
