A place where the arts, experimentation and creativity come together. Introducing Neomudéjar, a cutting-edge centre dedicated to revitalising disused spaces and transforming them into high-quality cultural venues.
In July 2013, this project began as a self-managed, independent centre dedicated to artistic resistance, committed to giving a voice to a diverse range of avant-garde artists and, through them, promoting various disciplines such as urban art, video art, performance art and sound art, whilst engaging directly with the general public. Since its inception, it has acquired works by various national and international artists, which now form a large part of the museum’s collection.
Bringing art to the people, educating them and fostering culture is where our core social value lies.
A venue committed to direct engagement with the local community and dedicated collaboration with like-minded organisations in the Retiro district. Here you’ll find art that is socially conscious and critical of those in power. Art inspired by Latin American trends that explore social realities and demonstrates a commitment to vulnerable groups through expression and visibility.
We invite you to discover a museum with a difference, where artistic expression seeks meaning beyond the purely aesthetic and value beyond the purely financial.
